Welcome to Amerika

“Welcome to Amerika” is an ongoing series of prints inspired by watching the corruption of the United Sates immigration policy as created and implemented by then President, Donald Trump. Day after day of watching families seeking refuge and asylum being treated so poorly, especially the children, led me to express my disgust through presenting images of the individuals involved. Hopefully, with a new administration, these cruel and immoral practices can be stopped and some sanity and empathy can be returned to our immigration policies. But noting the past, unfortunately, inspiration will probably continue and new prints in this series will be created. Many prints from this series, including “Andres”, “Maria”, “Miguel”, “Diego”, "Rosa" and “Separated at the border”, have all been selected for the recent and current exhibitions.
